Ms. Ewan is the Senior Executive Director of Development at the University of Pennsylvania for Penn Medicine where she oversees the planned giving program for the Perelman School of Medicine, the Abramson Cancer Ce nter and the University of Pennsylvania Health System which includes six ho spitals. Christine’s planned giving team supports over 60 frontline fundrai sers and she trains all levels of development staff in both planned giving fundraising and blended giving as well as major gift fundraising. She has w orked in planned giving at Penn Medicine for 15 years with prior fundraisin g experience at Pace University in New York, NY as the Director of Developm ent for the Lubin School of Business and as a Major Gift & Planned Givi ng Officer. Christine is a graduate of Clemson University and received her JD from Widener University School of Law. Prior to entering nonprofit fundr aising, she practiced law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Christine resides in Saint Davids, Pennsylvania with her husband, son and golden retriever, Oliver.

Renee Kurdzos is the Executive Director, Pl anned Giving at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Prior to working at Fred Hutch, Renee served as the Gift Planning Officer for Washington and H awaii at American Red Cross, Development & Planned Giving Officer at Un iversity of Puget Sound and as the Director of Major Gifts & Planned Gi ving at the Seattle Repertory Theatre. Renee is a Board Member of the Amer ican Council on Gift Annuities and is the Co-Chair of the Planned Giving Ad visory Committee for the National Association of Cancer Center Development Officers. She is also a Past President of the Washington Planned Giving Cou ncil and past Board Member of Leave 10. She has a Masters of Science in Tax ation and a Certificate in Estate Planning from Golden Gate University, and has achieved the designation of Certified Gift Planning Specialist through the Institute for Philanthropic Studies at California State University Lon g Beach. Renee has worked in development for 20 years and in planned giving for 15. She lives in West Seattle with her husband Kevan, daughters Zoe an d Margaret, and dogs Abbey and Jack.
